Mac Jones. 19. player. 58. . Quarterback. Washington Commanders

The Dwayne Haskins experiment in Washington is officially over, as head coach Ron Rivera released the former No. 15 overall pick on Monday. Haskins had a short run as the franchise quarterback in Washington, giving way to veteran Alex Smith, who will need to be replaced in the long-term next year.

With pick No. 19, the Washington Football Team selects All-American quarterback Mac Jones from Alabama, who has begun to rise up draft boards. He is a guy who could come in and start right away as a rookie, but if they do decide to start Smith for one more season, he would learn from one of the better professionals in all of football.

20. player. 57. . Wide Receiver. Chicago Bears. Jaylen Waddle

The Chicago Bears could actually make the playoffs this year, which would have been a ridiculous statement a few weeks ago. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is playing some of the best football in his young career, and there is even talk that they may extend him after the season.

If Trubisky does come back for the Bears, they have to make sure they bring him in some more weapons, especially with Allen Robinson likely on his way out. Jaylen Waddle from Alabama was considered the best wideout in this draft class before his injury, and there is no way he falls out of the first round.

Jacksonville Jaguars. Pat Freiermuth. 21. player. 52. . Tight End

The Jacksonville Jaguars hold two first-round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, thanks to the trade they made with the Los Angeles Rams for Jalen Ramsey a few years back. After adding a franchise quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in Trevor Lawrence, they add an exciting tight end for him to throw to here.

Outside of Kyle Pitts from Florida, Penn State’s Pat Freiermuth is the best tight end in this draft class and is another pass-catching threat at the position group. Any young quarterback needs a solid tight end to throw to, and Lawrence gets a good one here later in round one.
