Wide Receiver: Mike Evans $8,100

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing for seeding this week. They will still play their starters for most of the game if it’s close. However, they will make sure receiver Mike Evans is in until he hits 1,000 yards on the season. That means he will have plenty of touchdown opportunities until he gets to 40 yards receiving (which, admittedly, he could get to on one catch).

Evans needs those 40 yards to get to 1,000 yards receiving. It doesn’t take long on a Google search to see the Bucs really want Evans to get to 1,000 yards. He would become the first player ever to get to 1,000 yards in his first seven seasons in the NFL. Evans is clearly having an underrated career, but this milestone would be huge for him.

The Bucs want to spend Week 17 celebrating their star receiver. However, there’s an opponent looking to spoil the fun. That opponent is the Atlanta Falcons. Despite what they were able to do against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, the Falcons secondary is not one to call home about. Just a few weeks ago, Evans put up 14 points on the Falcons without scoring a touchdown.

It might be unwise to go after Evans after such a big matchup, but with so many top options with questionable matchups, Evans is much closer to a sure thing.
