NBA DFS Point Guards:

This is a great matchup for Luka Doncic. He has yet to clear 50 DraftKings points this year, but he has also not been under 44. That’s nice for cash games, but he’s still not hitting 5x value. I wont blame you for fading Luka, but his potential makes him worth using at least once if running multiple lineups.

Dame didn’t even come close to averaging 40 DraftKings points against the Clippers last year. This was the one team that could and did shut him down. It’s a full fade of Lillard for me. Trae Young is a solid play against the Nets. Conversely, so is Kyrie against the Hawks.

Jrue Holiday had his best game as a Buck in the blasting of the Heat last night. I doubt he pulls it off again, but even if Holiday only goes for 40, that’s still well above 6x value. He’s cheap enough to roll out there again. Besides, you’re not really going to use Goran Dragic after last night, are you? Tyler Herro is totally worth running with again though.

Again, this is a plus matchup for Marcus Smart. Again, I likely wont use him. Smart isn’t aggressive with the ball the way he was last year. Smart is content to let the other guys do it. That’s fine in real life, but it sucks for DFS.

Dennis Schroder is worth using when the matchup is right. This is definitely right against a Spurs team that can’t decide whether they’re trying for a youth movement or if they are going to give it one more shot. Limbo wont work against the Lakers.

Dejounte Murray is a nice option with White still out, but I think I prefer Tyus Jones with Morant out in a great matchup. The Lakers are going to give Murray problems. Jones doesn’t have a ton of upside, but his price isn’t too high yet. It’s getting there.

Don’t expect anything huge out of Jeff Teague, but he at least has a guaranteed role. However, in GPP formats we can chase the upside of the scoring of Patty Mills and the elite passing of Rajon Rondo. Both are bench guys, but both are strong veteran presences who know exactly what their roles are. Something can be said for that.
