Highest Ranking of Season: Unranked
2020 Stats: 13 Games, 109 Receptions, 1,328 Receiving Yards, 17 TDs, 12.2 Yds/Rec
Based on 2020 performance and prolonged success in the league, three wide receivers can rightfully claim to be the best in the NFL: Tyreek Hill, DeAndre Hopkins, and Davante Adams. Players such as Stefon Diggs and D.K. Metcalf are damn close to such recognition but need a few more seasons to reach the upper tiers.
This year, the numbers emphatically nominate Adams for the “best in the business” moniker. Indeed, Adams has a tremendous passer in Aaron Rodgers feeding him pigskin. That does not matter. A man plays where he is drafted, and Adams just so happened to be paired with Rodgers in 2014.
What a pairing.
Adams has tallied humongous receiving totals in limited games. When adjudicating his output in 2020, remember that Adams missed two games to injury. The Packers wideout is topping nearly every receiving metric in spite of reduced playing time.
Wide receivers do not habitually win MVP awards, but Adams’ 2020 campaign is more than noteworthy and hence gets him a seat at the table in these rankings. Fantasy football managers all over the place will affirm.
