NBA DFS picks December 31: Can Siakam handle Randle?
By Mike Marteny
NBA DFS Small Forwards:
Brandon Ingram hasn’t been as consistent as I would like, but this is a great situation for him. Ingram’s ceiling is higher than most at this price range, but his floor really hurts. I’ll have some GPP exposure to Ingram, but probably only about 20-25%.
OG looked the part of O.G. against the Sixers on Tuesday. He’ll have a little harder time against the Knicks, but the Raptors actually need the production of Anunoby right now. That isn’t usually the case.
Bojan isn’t Bogdan and he’s priced $1,000 higher. That alone is enough to keep me mostly away from him, but there isn’t a ton of value, especially at this position. Bojan has a high enough ceiling and a good enough floor to put him in your player pool.
Eric Gordon is still one of the better pure shooters in the league when he’s on. I wouldn’t bet on him here with Wall and Boogie also debuting for the Rockets. Wait and see is the right approach here.
Luguentz Dort is still a solid pick, but his price is high enough that he’s probably not hitting 6x value. That means he’s not really right for GPP usage anymore. Hamidou Diallo is what Dort was last week.
Don’t look now, but Dwayne Bacon has started every game for the Magic this year. He has mostly gone the way of the Isaac Bonga though. He starts but only plays about 20 minutes. Bacon was lights out on Tuesday from the floor though. If he shoots like that again, he’ll steal minutes from Ross and smash value.
