John Legend remembers what Dabo Swinney thought about the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Dabo Swinney famously voted the Ohio State Buckeyes the No. 11 team in the final Amway Coaches Poll. Noted Ohio State football fan and popular musician John Legend wanted to make sure the head coach never forgot that.

Even though Ohio State only played six games this season, the Buckeyes went 6-0 on those games, including impressive wins over the Indiana Hoosiers and the Northwestern Wildcats in the Big Ten Championship game. The College Football Playoff Selection Committee viewed this as the third best team in the country. Swinney’s Tigers trailed Ohio State by 21 points at halftime.

If Clemson loses this one, Dabo Swinney will eat crow forever

Excellent teams like Clemson have overcome 21-point deficits before. However, if they want to avoid embarrassment, they need to slow down Justin Fields and the vaunted Buckeyes attack, as well as get a few timely touchdowns on the board. If they do not, Legend and all of Buckeye Nation will never let Swinney live this one down. They will make shirts because of this. How wonderful!

This is the price Swinney has paid for giving Ohio State the ultimate bulletin-board material.
