Offensive Coordinator . Kansas City Chiefs. 1. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Eric Bieniemy. 124

Eric Bieniemy should have been a head coach last season. The Kansas City Chiefs barely regressed from Patrick Mahomes‘ MVP offensive season and were AFC Champions. Instead, he helped the Chiefs claim their first Super Bowl title in over 50 years.

This time around, he won’t have to wait for a call. Instead, he’ll be able to make the call to whichever franchise he wants.

Once again, Bieniemy, 51, has led the Chiefs to the No. 1 passing DVOA offense in the league. Both Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce will finish with other 1,000 yards, while the latter recently set a pair of records at his position. On offense alone, Kansas City is 14-1 and has the best chance to repeat in the AFC come January.

Bieniemy and Andy Reid have built a sustainable offense that’s built around their quarterback. Why couldn’t the coordinator do the same thing, only with a quarterback that’s already in place and under contract for five more years? Watson and Allen are in a race for the league’s long-term No. 2 pocket-passer.

The Texans will also need a GM. John Dorsey has been slated to potentially be the guy. If he lands in Houston, this will be a formality for Bieniemy to land down in the Lone Star State.
