There is no more unifying NFL pastime than hating the Dallas Cowboys in unison.

The Cowboys comeback attempt fell short this Sunday in the worst of ways. Andy Dalton threw a crushing interception in the red zone, which was followed shortly by a Wayne Gallman fumble that was somehow, someway, recovered by the Giants for a game-clinching first down.

With the Giants win, the Cowboys are eliminating from playoff contention, and the NFC East division will go to either New York or the Washington Football Team. It’s especially humiliating for a roster so talented, even without Dak Prescott at the helm. Not to mention, watching Jason Garrett celebrate on the opposing sideline has to be brutal for Dallas faithful.

You hate to see it, unless you’re a fan of one of the other 31 NFL teams

NFL fans rejoiced on Twitter, celebrating a soon-to-be postseason without the Dallas Cowboys. Instead, they’ll head into a critical offseason with some tough decisions to make, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Cowboys pundits will have plenty to talk about. Rather than discuss any of that, let’s give Cowboys haters their moment in the sun.

The Cowboys will have a top-10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, with the exact selection to be determined by the later games. I’m guessing most Dallas fans are too crushed to watch any more football with week.
