Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Offensive Coordinator . Buffalo Bills. Brian Daboll . 1. player. 16

In life, it always helps to know someone. As reported by CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, Brian Daboll and Chargers GM Tom Telesco attended the same high school. That’s a pretty good head start for the franchise that’s ready to win now.

It’s so much more than just that with Daboll, however. The Bills’ offensive coordinator crosses off so many boxes it’s easy to count the ones he doesn’t. He’s a five-time Super Bowl champion under the direction of Bill Belichick. He won a national title with Nick Saban at Alabama.

Then there’s the production of working with quarterbacks: more specifically Josh Allen.

Daboll oversaw the transformation of rookie bust to MVP-caliber quarterback in three seasons. The jump from Year 2 to Year 3 alone has scouts reevaluating everything they learned about the position come draft season, hoping to pair the next big-armed talent with a coordinator that can get the best out of him.

There’s not an offense hitting all its stride right now more than Buffalo. That’s in large part due to Allen and Daboll. Image what level of success Daboll could have with a rising star like Herbert that is already thriving?
