AL West: Los Angeles Angels

One of these years it will be time for Mike Trout and the Angels to get back to the playoffs. 2021 could be that year, as their additions in the offseason so far with Raisel Iglesias and Jose Iglesias have them in a far better potion as a team than one would believe.

Moving on from Andrelton Simmons to a nearly suitable fielder and more consistent hitter in Iglesias is ideal for them. While having a closer with the ability that Raisel Iglesias has makes them have a legit closer for the first time in a few seasons.

They have been one of those teams poking around Trevor Bauer, and if that is an addition they make then they are locked in as a potential sleeper to not only get a wild card spot but maybe even the division.

This team has the tools to make a run and that makes them an ideal sleeper in the AL West this season.

NL West: San Francisco Giants

The NL West, as said before, is seen as a two-team race but the other three teams should not be slept on. However, the team to head the pack of the three should be the San Francisco Giants, who have some nice parts to play with through their rotation and lineup that can keep them above water and allow them to sneak into the playoffs.

San Francisco has some unique players in Mike Yastrzemski and Joey Bart to build around with long-time cast members Brandon Crawford, Brandon Belt, and Buster Posey. Then looking at their bullpen and rotation, you notice that it isn’t too bad and could lead to an underdog push of sorts.

Sleepers in Major League Baseball don’t always pan out, but they can impress to the point that you believe in the hype towards the end of the season. Let’s see how many, if any, do make a splash in the 2021 season.
