Buffalo Bills fans were fired up on Twitter after the team’s first playoff win since 1995.

It wasn’t easy for the Buffalo Bills, who survived a horrendous no-call at the end of the game, but they did beat the Indianapolis Colts 27-24 to pick up their first playoff win since 1995.

A very bad day for Colts’ head coach Frank Reich certainly helped Buffalo earn another home game in the divisional round next week. The contest itself was very stressful and Bills’ fans expressed their emotions on Twitter after the final whistle.

It’s been a while since Bills Mafia really got to go nuts thanks to the coronavirus pandemic and Buffalo certainly sent its fans on a roller coaster of emotion throughout the game. This contest certainly wasn’t the most inspiring performance from the Bills, who had trouble stopping the Colts late in the game, but all that matters to the team’s long-suffering fan base is that they picked up a playoff victory.

Since Buffalo is the AFC’s No. 2 seed it means that the Bills will host another playoff game next weekend. It is unclear if New York State will allow fans into the stadium as they did for this game, but Buffalo will need all the help it can get with a tough opponent coming into town either way.

The Bills could face either Pittsburgh, Tennessee, or Baltimore depending on how the other wild card matchups in the AFC play out. The Ravens haven’t seen the Bills this year while Tennessee did beat Buffalo on a Tuesday in Nashville earlier in the season.

The winner of that Tennessee-Baltimore matchup would be Buffalo’s opponent if the Browns upset the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. If Pittsburgh wins it will secure a trip to Buffalo to try and get revenge for a critical late-season loss that knocked them out of the mix for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
