46. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. . TE. Miami. Brevin Jordan

Between the likes of T.Y. Hilton, Michael Pittman Jr, Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines, the Colts aren’t exactly short of playmakers on offense. However, if there is an area where they are lacking it is at tight end.

Trey Burton and Jack Doyle are decent options who have made an impact in the red zone, but the Colts could certainly use a more dynamic pass-catcher at the position.

Talk about the 2021 tight end class has been dominated by Florida Gators star Kyle Pitts. Playing his football in the same state, Jordan is worthy of more attention than he has received following a stellar career with the Hurricanes.

He finished on a high with Miami, catching a career-high seven touchdowns in his eight appearances while averaging 15.2 yards per reception. That latter number is a result of an intriguing combination of impressive route-running and YAC upside.

Jordan’s play in the blocking game is not always consistent, but he has shown willing in that area and the Colts would likely accept some growing pains there if it meant they upgraded in terms of receiving talent at tight end.

Regardless of whether it is Philip Rivers or a new quarterback under center in 2021, the Colts need to consider adding to their offensive arsenal and should take a strong look at Jordan.
