Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chris Godwin. 2. player. 48. WR

A quarterback is only as good as his supporting cast. The Colts have the best offensive line in football, but they’ll need help in the passing game. Zach Pascal is a restricted free agent, while T.Y. Hilton is unrestricted.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense blew past opponents in the closing weeks of the season in large part to Tom Brady. The 43-year-old does have one of the best trios in football with Antonio Brown, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Two of them will be free agents come March and should look for their best deal.

Depending on who the Colts bring in under center, Godwin would be a perfect addition. Living in the shadow of Evans, the shifty route-runner excels in the slot with top-target mentality. Even in what some would call a down year, Godwin still finished top 40 in receptions (65), yards (840) and touchdowns (seven).

The Colts need as many playmakers to pair with Paris Campbell and Michael Pittman Jr. Should Hilton leave, Indy shouldn’t be afraid to open their wallets. They have the cap space to give Godwin a deal worth building around for the foreseeable future.
