2. Kenny Golladay

The Bears offense desperately needs a big-bodied wide receiver who can make tough catches down the field. That description fits Golladay perfectly. There’s a decent chance he gets a franchise tag from the Lions that will prevent him from hitting the open market, but Chicago should be there with a massive offer if he is permitted to become a free agent.

Injuries and a positive COVID-19 diagnosis combined to limit Golladay to just five games this season. That won’t do anything to suppress his free agent market. He’s a clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver who is just entering his prime as a player. Expect him to be paid like the star he is.

Golladay is the perfect receiver for Chicago to add no matter who they deploy under center next season. He’s equally adept at making solid catches over the middle as he is running deep routes that threaten the opposing defense down the field. That versatility could open up Nagy’s playbook moving forward no matter who is throwing the passes for Chicago.

The bottom line for Chicago is that they need to add more weapons on the outside. Golladay may not be quite the burner that Robinson is, but he’s a superior overall wide receiver. The Bears’ offense could benefit massively from his toughness on the perimeter.
