In the final AP Top 25 of the college football season, Alabama finishes at No.1 while Texas A&M is ahead of Notre Dame in the college football rankings.

Alabama tops the final AP Top 25 of the 2020 college football season after beating Ohio State in the National Championship Game. The Crimson Tide were the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation for the better part of the second half of the season and left no doubt with a pair of dominating performances against Notre Dame and Ohio State in the College Football Playoff who the top program is in the nation.

Ohio State finished No. 2 in the AP Top 25 after falling in the National Championship Game. It was a season that wasn’t even supposed to happen after the Big Ten initially canceled the season. And to get to the playoff when many, including Dabo Swinney, didn’t think they belonged is very impressive considering the obstacles they met. Swinney’s Clemson Tigers finish at No. 3 after losing to the Buckeyes in the Sugar Bowl.

In one of the hottest debates this season, Texas A&M finishes at No. 4, one spot ahead of Notre Dame who got the final playoff spot over the Aggies.

Oklahoma, Georgia, Cincinnati, Iowa State and Northwestern round out the top 10.

BYU, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, Ball State, San Jose State and Buffalo are teams from non-Power 5 conferences to finish the season ranked.
