Johnny Manziel trolls the Browns for Divisional Round defeat
Johnny Manziel decided to take a shot at the Browns after his former team lost Sunday to the Chiefs in the Divisional Round.
The Cleveland Browns fought hard Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, but ultimately came up short. Fans still saw enough to know this team is on the right track, but as always, there are weird storylines to discuss.
Who thought anyone would be talking about Johnny Manziel following the loss? The former Browns bust forced his way into the conversation with a weird troll of the team that just had its best season in decades.
Manziel with the weird timing
Manziel was given countless chances by Browns ownership and was a disaster from the moment he arrived. Now he is happy the team lost? Or thinks he could have done better? Who knows with this guy.
There is no need to recount the bizarre and sad journey of Manziel. He went from being a first-round pick to trying to come back in a variety of leagues as a shell of his former dazzling Texas A&M self.
The Browns are obviously better off without him and appear to have found a true franchise quarterback in Baker Mayfield. Manziel had the opportunity to assume that role and it just didn’t work out. So now he’s happy they lost?
Luckily, Browns fans don’t have to worry much about what Manziel has to say any more. The team is out of the pit of misery of 0-16 seasons and endless conversations about when the team will be good again. They ended a playoff drought this year and also took down their former tormentor in the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Manziel can say whatever he wants at this point. It is just a bad look and will continue to be one.
