16. Corey Coleman – Baylor Bears

Corey Coleman’s career is another one that will fall by the wayside because of his bust status in the NFL, but he was a can’t miss receiver during his time with the Baylor Bears. He missed the first three games of his redshirt sophomore season, but one couldn’t tell based on his stats. He still broke 1,000 yards despite only playing 10 games. He also had 11 touchdowns. Coleman immediately established himself as one of the best receivers in the country.

His junior season, Coleman took it up a notch. Now that he’s fully healthy, he was on the Biletnikoff preseason watch list, which was one of the easier choices. That led to an eventual win for the 2015 season. He was by far the best receiver in the country in 2015. He had multiple touchdowns in seven-straight games.

He ended up dealing with a sports hernia for the hardest part of the Baylor schedule, or this season could have been even better. Injuries ended up turning Coleman’s career from one of the greats to just very, very good.

He still had one of the best seasons for a wide receiver this decade. Only seven receivers have scored 20 touchdowns in a Power 5 conference since the year 2000. Imagine what he could have done if he never had to deal with that hernia. He might have beaten Troy Edwards’s record of 27 touchdowns set back in 1998. Still, his career at Baylor should not be forgotten.
