1. WR Allen Robinson

Through his NFL career, and really dating back to college at Penn State, “what if he had a good quarterback?” is attached to Robinson. Trade rumors surrounded him at the deadline this year, but  now he’s the top wide receiver on the free agent market.

After Chicago’s playoff loss to the New Orleans Saints, via the Chicago Tribune, Robinson made it clear where he stands as he gets set to hit the open market. He has openly been frustrated by how contract talks with the Bears have gone.

“Right now, everything is pretty much on the table,” Robinson said in a Zoom call Monday morning from Halas Hall.

In regard to staying with the Bears, Robinson went a little further and drew a line in the sand.

“I personally feel like we had an opportunity to be able to get something done over the past 365 days,”

The Bears could franchise tag Robinson, and idea he also made it clear he would dislike (to the point of not signing the tender?). So it seems more likely he’ll hit the market, with plenty of suitors ready to pay him like one of the league’s best wide receivers over a multi-year deal.

As for the Ravens specifically, and for what it’s worth, Robinson liked the following tweet suggesting them as a suitor for him.

A reliable target in all areas of the field who can make catches with people around him, like Robinson is, is an ideal No. 1 wide receiver for Jackson. (This is where I mention the impact Stefon Diggs had on Josh Allen this year).

If Robinson wants to push to the top of wide receiver market with his next contract, which is $20 million average per year, the Ravens may drop off as a viable suitor very quickly. But GM Eric DeCosta and company should make every effort to bring him to Baltimore, even if some tough decisions on who to let go will be natural.
