The Kansas City Chiefs will have their first-round pick back in the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills.

The object is simple for the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs — win on Sunday night and you are going to the Super Bowl. Of course, the healthier team will have the advantage, and both teams will be getting some pivotal players returning. However, they will be without some as well.

On Sunday, the Chiefs offense will be without wide receiver Sammy Watkins (calf)and running back Le’Veon Bell. However, if there’s one good bit of news for Kansas City, it’s that rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is officially active for the most important game of the year.

There’s also some good news on Buffalo’s end as well. Wideout Gabriel Davis is good to go for the big game, as backup option Kenny Stills finds his way on the inactive list.

Edwards-Helaire returns at the right time against the right opponent

The 32nd-overall pick by the Chiefs hasn’t played since Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints due to dealing with hip and ankle injuries. Now, he gets to return to for the Chiefs against a team he’s awfully familiar with.

Back in Week 6, Edwards-Helaire rushed for 161 yards on 26 carries in Kansas City’s 26-17 win over Buffalo. The rookie will look to put up a repeat performance in perhaps the biggest game of his young career.

Watkins was initially listed as a game-time decision due to a calf injury he picked up in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons. The veteran wideout hasn’t played since. Expect the Chiefs to use heavy doses of Tyreek Hill,  Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson in his absence.

The Bills and quarterback Josh Allen have to be ecstatic that Davis will be able to return to the starting lineup. Davis suffered an ankle injury during Buffalo’s 17-3 Divisional Round win over the Baltimore Ravens, and signed Stills as an emergency option. Stills’ services wont be needed with Davis back in the lineup.

The lineups are set. Now, let’s get ready to watch what should be an epic game.
