Mecole Hardman went out and totally redeemed himself after an awful muffed punt.

After pretty much handing points to the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs kick returner/wide receiver Mecole Hardman made two big plays to help his team big time in the first half.

Facing a 9-0 deficit, Hardman found pay dirt from only a few yards out to get the Chiefs on the board. Shortly thereafter, Hardman took it 50 yards up the field on a terrifically designed running play by the Kansas City offense. These two plays were so impressive that they almost made Chiefs Kingdom forget about the ghastly muffed punt he had earlier in the ballgame.

Will the Chiefs repeat as Super Bowl champions?

The Chiefs have a formidable challenger in the AFC Championship game in Buffalo, so Kansas City has to put the Bills away first before we even think about them repeating as Super Bowl champions. Even if the Chiefs win the AFC for the second straight season, they will have to do something no conference champion has ever done: Play in a Super Bowl. . .on the road.

This is because the NFC champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers have become the first team in NFL history to play in the Super Bowl in their home stadium. They will anxiously await their AFC opponent from the friendly confines of Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Kansas City would be favored over Tampa Bay, but this is not a typical neutral-site Super Bowl affair.

If Hardman keeps coming up big for the Chiefs, it will be awfully hard for anyone to beat them.
