Tony Romo appears to know the future based on a clip from November regarding his Super Bowl prediction.

Tony Romo often gets mixed reactions for his work in the booth on CBS alongside Jim Nantz. His name will surely be a hot topic on Twitter in two weeks when he is in Tampa for the Super Bowl.

Sunday gave fans two exciting games as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs came away victorious. This gives the Bucs a home game in the Super Bowl and gives fans another matchup between Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady.

The two teams met up earlier this season in Week 12. The Chiefs picked up a 27-24 win to improve to 10-1, while Brady and the Bucs fell to 7-5. However, Romo still made a prediction about the two teams that ended up coming true.

Romo’s prediction comes true

Picking the Chiefs to make the Super Bowl was the easy call. Choosing the Bucs following that defeat was the bold prediction.

Brady’s team dropped to 7-5 and headed into a late-season Week 13 bye. The Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints all looked like the real top contenders in the NFC at the time. But it is hard to ever count out Brady, and he has proven that to be the case once again.

Tampa proceeded to win four straight and clearly built a ton of chemistry and fixed glaring problems during the bye. Whatever changed allowed them to take down both the Saints and the Packers to get a home game in the Super Bowl.

dark. Next. Buccaneers make unprecedented Super Bowl history

Romo has plenty of moments where he comes off as goofy or over-the-top. However, he still provides plenty of great insight and let the NFL world know what the ultimate Super Bowl matchup would be months ago.
