4. Marvin Jones

The Browns’ lack of depth at wide receiver was exposed last season after Odell Beckham Jr. went down. Jarvis Landry is a nice No. 2 option for Mayfield to work with, but he struggles mightily to succeed against double coverage.

In a perfect world, Cleveland would be able to add another player capable of performing like a No. 1 option to the mix this offseason. The team simply doesn’t have the cap space required to make that kind of move. Instead, the Browns need to shop for a second-tier wideout in free agency.

Jones could turn into a relative bargain for the team that prioritizes him. The fact that he’ll be 31-years-old next season should suppress his market compared to the younger, more dynamic options available in this year’s free agent class.

That shouldn’t distract teams from the reality that Jones is an above-average No. 2 option. His ability to hold up outside and thrive in the slot makes him an ideal depth piece for the Browns. They should be major players for Jones as long as his market doesn’t get out of hand.
