Devin Booker missed time with a hamstring injury, but NBA teams beware: He’s back.
Booker had a conservative 24 points on Monday night against the Dallas Mavericks, three of which came on a game-winning three with just over a second remaining. The Kentucky product signified his re-entrance in the 2020-21 NBA season in style.
Welcome back, Devin Booker.

Welcome back, indeed.
Chris Paul dribbled himself into trouble, only freeing up more time for Booker, who quickly found himself open. Rather than attack the paint for a potential tying shot, Booker went for the win and delivered.
Booker’s return comes at a perfect time for the Suns
The Suns have dealt with a number of injury issues in this early NBA season. As if COVID-19 hasn’t dealt teams enough issues, the injuries to Booker, and previously DeAndre Ayton (ankle) have made it tough for this team to gel as a cohesive unit.
With the win, the Suns have now notched three victories in a row, moving into sixth place in the crowded Western Conference. Considering how the Suns’ bubble season ended — with a string of consecutive victories that had us on the edge of our seats — expectations of a playoff run in 2020 are only fair.
