1. Will Fuller

Rumors circulating around the NFL insist the Raiders still want to add more speed to their receiving corps this offseason. Much of that speculation has centered around landing Jaylen Waddle in the draft, but it’s easy to envision a scenario where Vegas pivots towards bidding for Fuller in free agency.

Simply put, any team that pays big money to a receiver who’s only averaged seven games per season during his NFL career deserves to be widely criticized. Fuller is a high-level talent when he’s actually on the field, but that doesn’t’ happen often enough to justify the money he’s going to get this offseason.

Aside from the question of value, there are also valid concerns over whether or not Las Vegas really needs to add another speed receiver. Derek Carr might be better served by the addition of a big-bodied receiver capable of making tough catches over the middle. It’s possible Tyrell Williams can do that when he returns from injury, but it’s also possible he’ll turn into a cap casualty during the offseason.

If the Raiders are determined to spend big on a wide receiver in free agency, there are significantly better options than Fuller. Someone like Kenny Golladay would be a dream in this offense. At a lower price point, Corey Davis would be an intriguing fit for Gruden’s offense. Overpaying Fuller would be an unforgivable sin for the Raiders’ front office.
