Scouting Report. Cornerback. Florida. Pick Analysis. Marco Wilson. 189. player. 16

Landing Adebo would give the Bills valuable depth on the outside, but returning for Wilson in Round 6 would boost the team’s options on the inside. The former Florida standout has a lot of the physical tools NFL team’s covet at nickel, but he’ll need a lot of coaching at the next level to maximize that potential.

It’s still a worthwhile gamble for Buffalo at this juncture of the draft. Wilson has the size and speed to project as a nickel starter if he can learn the intricacies of playing the position in the NFL. At the absolute worst, he should be able to help the Bills’ special teams right away.

Scouting Report. South Dakota State. Pick Analysis. Wide receiver. Cade Johnson. 200. player. 16

Finding a star in Round 7 is exceedingly difficult. Smart teams lower their expectations in the draft’s final round to see if they can secure a valuable role player. That’s just what Johnson projects to possibly become at the next level.

Buffalo would select him with the idea that he can learn behind Cole Beasley in the slot before really earning meaningful snaps at wideout. He can, however, give the Bills an immediate lift in terms of their return game. He’ll never be a star at the next level, but he can make the roster. That’s an accomplishment for the No. 200 overall pick.
