Center. Ohio State. player. 53. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Josh Myers. 153

The Browns don’t need to add any starting offensive lineman in the draft, but acquiring depth up front is always a good strategy. Myers doesn’t have a high ceiling as an interior player, but his high floor makes him a strong value in the fifth round.

At worst, Myers projects as a guy who can help Cleveland in short-yardage situations. He looks really good coming off the line but struggles to get to the second level with any kind of consistency. Cleveland should acquire him to be a nice depth piece.

Edge. 187. 53. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Iowa. Chauncey Gholston. player

Gholston projects as a nice run defender from his edge position at the next level. That makes him an ideal pairing with a pass-rushing specialist in Cleveland. He lacks star potential but he should be able to soak up early-down snaps right away.

Cornerback. player. 53. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Appalachian State. Shemar Jean-Charles. 222

The Browns will do well to add a player who can make their final roster with one of the draft’s last picks. Jean-Charles is light for an NFL corner, but he showed really good ball skills during his collegiate career at Appalachian State. He has a chance to stick as a reserve during his rookie season with a slight chance to grow into more down the line.
