Scouting Report. 3.. OC. Kansas City Chiefs. Austin Reiter . player. Pick Analysis. 124

This is another one of those “for the right price” moves Veach might consider. Kansas City found Reiter as a free agent gem back in 2018. Since the departure of Mitch Morse, the 29-year-old has been a staple on the offensive line.

In 2020 alone, Reiter has been the most consistent member of Kansas City’s front unit. He also has built a quality chemistry with Mahomes and is building off a standout 2019 campaign. On top of all that, Corey Linsley will cost teams top dollar on the market while Reiter still could be paid well for less.

Should Kansas City keep the former Browns roster cut? It’ll be based on what the plan is in the draft. Offensive line will easily be the biggest need, but will the Chiefs go with a guard like Wyatt Davis? Should they draft a center such as Landon Dickerson? How about a mixed talent? Say Creed Humphrey?

Reiter will need to come at an affordable price. The team will also need to be uncertain that second-year lineman Nick Allegretti won’t be able to match the same production. If so, there’s no denying his presence in the trenches is well-loved by both the franchise quarterback and the fan base.
