Scouting Report. James White. 2.. player. Pick Analysis. RB. New England Patriots. 47

Leonard Fournette is a free agent at the end of the year. Like it or not, three touchdowns and an average of over 50 yards in the postseason will have a team spending a decent amount to bring him into their facility. Ronald Jones is good, but just how good is he?

The Buccaneers need a secondary runner. Jones will be entering a contract season in 2021 and it could be a make or break year. Should he be good, the Buccaneers will try to resign him. If he rushes for over 1,000 yards next season, someone might be willing to sign him away.

Fournette averaged only 3.6 yards per run, yet actually was better as a pass-catcher with an average of 6.5 yards the catch. Perhaps the best receiving running back Brady has ever worked with was White, whose Super Bowl LI run in overtime led to the 28-3 comeback heard around the world.

For his career, White has four seasons of 50-plus receptions. He also has a career 25 receiving touchdowns since being drafted out of Wisconsin. While he might be limited in the run game, White’s a perfect third-down running back who played at an all-time when TB12 was tossing him the ball.

Best of all? White’s a Florida native and could be looking to close out his career close to home on a discount.
