Ten-year NFL veteran Patrick Peterson is likely to leave the Cardinals this offseason and Browns fans are already lobbying for him.

Patrick Peterson has been a terror on the Arizona Cardinals defense for the last 10 years but it looks as if his time in the Valley of the Sun is coming to an end. FanSided initially reported yesterday that the future Hall of Famer and the organization are expected to part ways “barring a significant change in stances.”

Peterson, who was a Pro Bowler in his first eight NFL seasons out of LSU, has seen a bit of a decline in his performance over the past two seasons, having missed six games in 2019.

Browns fans are already making their case for Patrick Peterson

With rumors starting to swirl surrounding Peterson’s destination, Cleveland Browns fans are already making their case for the former All-Pro corner.

It seems as though Browns fans think Peterson would be a great piece opposite their solid young cornerback Denzel Ward. He was drafted fourth-overall by the Browns in 2018 and made the Pro Bowl the same year. He missed a few games his rookie year but has proven to be a very solid pick for Cleveland and is slowly starting to gain the title of lockdown corner.

While Browns fans may be connecting dots for their front office prematurely, Peterson has denied any trade rumors. Still, the NFL is a business and it wouldn’t be total shock to see the veteran end up elsewhere next season.
