4. New Orleans Saints

Due as least partly to major salary cap concerns, the Saints may be inclined to just replace Drew Brees with either Taysom Hill or Jameis Winston next season. But looking to 2022 their balance sheet looks better, with only 26 players currently on the books.

If Wilson has (well-warranted) complaints about the direction of the Seahawks’ offense, he would find some easy relief in New Orleans. Head coach Sean Payton remains one of the top offensive minds in the league, and the contributions of long-time assistant Pete Carmichael shouldn’t be forgotten.

Add in having a set of weapons that starts with Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas, with what has generally been a top-notch offensive line, and Wilson could legitimately get to multiple Super Bowls with New Orleans during the second phase of his career.

A Wilson-Payton pairing would put the rest of the NFL on notice, and if Wilson wants to play until he’s 45 (as he has said, realistically or not) he has many good years left. A second Super Bowl ring with a second team would put Wilson in some heady company, and New Orleans might be his best spot to do it.
