The Giants’ foray into free agency last season to land James Bradberry turned into a rousing success for the front office. Now it’s time to see if New York can upgrade their options on the other side of the formation.

Isaac Yiadom struggled mightily to play quality football as the team’s other starter in 2020. Opposing teams were quite happy to avoid Bradberry while repeatedly targeting Yiadom. The Giants need to take away that comfortable option for opposing offenses.

King wasn’t great last season for the Titans, but he’s flashed the ability to be a top-notch cover corner during his brief career. That makes him an intriguing gamble for the Giants.

At worst, King can come in and give New York one of the best slot corners in football. At best, he can grow into the classic No. 2 cover guy the Giants need to deploy opposite Bradberry for years to come. New York should avoid getting into a bidding war for a guy coming off a relatively down season, but paying him as a quality starter shouldn’t be objectionable for the G-men.
