2021 NFL Draft: Indianapolis Colts 7-round mock
Christensen’s NFL future probably lies at the right tackle spot, but he’s got the athleticism required to become an average starter in time. Adding him would give the Colts another quality reserve to deploy at tackle.
His strengths as a player lie in his intelligence and power blocking. That also raises the possibility that he can move to guard if his lack of quickness is too much of an issue at tackle. This is a safe pick that can really boost Indianapolis’ depth.
Franks isn’t close to being ready to play meaningful snaps right away, but he’s an intriguing long-term prospect. He’s got excellent size for the position at 6-foot-6 and he also possesses surprising mobility for a guy his size.
Refinements need to be made when it comes to his throwing motion. His lower body is all over the place through the course of a single game. If he can correct those serious mechanical errors, he could grow into a high-quality backup.
Gray has a chance to stick with the Colts as a nice pass-catching tight end who can make plays flexed out into the slot. His lack of physicality is a big concern, but he’s got nice hands and intelligence for the position. At worst, he can be a valuable practice squad player with a chance to make the active roster by the time the postseason rolls around.
