1. Corey Davis

The odds strongly favor Philadelphia using their first-round pick on a new No. 1 wide receiver. That might cause some fans to believe they don’t need to add another wideout in free agency. The truth is that the Eagles need to add multiple weapons on the perimeter this offseason.

As previously mentioned, the franchise likely lacks the cap space necessary to land a premier wide receiver in free agency. If they set their sights a little lower they could see a lot of upside in Davis as a guy who can be their No. 2 receiver for years to come.

After all, he racked up 65 catches for 984 yards and five touchdowns for the Titans in 2020. Davis benefited from all the attention A.J. Brown drew on the other side of the formation, but he could experience a similar scenario opposite a high-level rookie in Philadelphia.

The key here for the Eagles is to avoid breaking the bank for a No. 2 receiver. Davis is going to enter free agency with the idea that he should be paid like a No. 1. His representatives will argue that the 26-year-old is on the ascendancy and should be paid for his future production.

Philadelphia should wait his market out and scoop him up after the big stars get their contracts from other teams. Davis isn’t going to blossom into a superstar, but he can be a high-level starter for years to come.
