Trevor Bauer has explained why he decided to spurned all the other teams after him to sign with the LA Dodgers.

Earlier this month, prized free agent Trevor Bauer went ahead and surprised us all when it was announced he had signed a new deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. While him picking the reigning World Series champs wasn’t a foolish decision, everyone thought he was headed to Queens to play for the New York Mets.

Instead, he’s chosen the sun in California. Well, it’s not the sun. Bauer has come out and explained the various reasons he’s packed his bags for LA to play for the NL West powerhouse.

Trevor Bauer couldn’t be more fired up to begin campaign No. 1 with the Dodgers

“The locale didn’t really play much of a factor,” Bauer said. “It’s all about the organization, the talent level that’s here, the organizational structure, the systems that are in place, the people that are here.”

As you can see from Bauer’s quote, the front office made quite the impact on him and sold the superstar hurler on all the great things the team has to offer. Straight up, Bauer has put himself in a position to potentially win a World Series now that he’s joined LA. We all know he didn’t have that opportunity pitching for the Reds.

Last season, Bauer was sensational, winning NL Cy Young honors after going 5-4 with a mind-blowing 1.73 ERA. With those numbers, it’s obvious to see why he received so much attention this offseason during his free agency.

In the end, the Dodgers did more than enough to convince him that LA is the place to be. Come 2021, we’ll see just how good Bauer can be with even more eyes on him close to Hollywood.
