2. Sign Corey Davis

The Packers’ need for an upgrade at wide receiver is obvious. Davante Adams is a legitimate superstar on one side of the formation, but the lack of talent surrounding him in Green Bay’s receiver room is alarming.

The team is well-positioned to benefit from the sheer number of talented wide receivers available in this year’s free agent class. They don’t have the cash to land a legitimate superstar like Chris Godwin or Kenny Golladay, but that shouldn’t stop the Packers from landing a veteran capable of taking pressure off Adams in 2021.

Davis seems like a perfect fit to slot in as Green Bay’s No. 2 receiver next season. He played that role to perfection last year in Tennesse opposite A.J. Davis. There’s no reason to think he can’t provide even more production catching passes from Rodgers.

Similar to the situation with Watt, $8 million probably can’t land Davis on its own, but it gets Green Bay almost all the way there. If he wants to continue plying his trade for a legitimate Super Bowl contender then the Packers should be able to make a compelling argument for him taking his talents to Green Bay. Landing Davis would give the Packers’ passing attack balance it desperately needs in 2021 and beyond.
