2. Justin Fields

Fields is getting somewhat slept on as a draft prospect despite having a sensational final season for Ohio State. Completing over 70% of your passes with a 22:6 touchdown to interception ratio generally gets players more credit than Fields is receiving at the moment.

In many ways, Fields is the perfect combination of high-level athlete and above-average pocket passer that good NFL teams covet. He’s perfectly capable of hanging in the pocket and making every throw in the playbook. His best plays occur when he’s given the license to improvise and make things happen on his own.

The only real weakness in his current game is that he struggles to process information at a really high level when he drops back to pass. That’s something that should improve with more reps at the pro level. His pro coaching staff will need to work diligently to help Fields get rid of the ball faster.

He’s still a high-ceiling prospect that will be ready to start for his team when Week 1 of the 2021 season rolls around. Don’t be surprised if fans wonder why he wasn’t in contention for the No. 1 overall pick sometime during his rookie campaign.
