1. Myles Garrett

Garrett was thriving with Vernon and Clayborn playing at the opposite end spot. Landing Watt could make it impossible to decide who to double-team. Focusing on either player opens up the other side of the line to be destroyed by a generational talent.

Garrett had 12 sacks in 14 games in 2020 and was named first-team All-Pro. He got his own contract extension and it would be a fantasy scenario to have him and Watt on the same defensive line.

This is the “good” scenario for the impacts that come with signing Watt. Garrett should see a boost in his own stats and fans must remember he is still approaching his peak. Could he reach 20 sacks in 2021 with Watt as his teammate? It is hard to say that is unlikely given his current trajectory.

The last thing the Browns want to do is not have a legitimate end opposite Garrett. He is already averaging over 10 sacks per season without a legitimate star as a teammate. Getting Watt changes that and teams would have to adjust their entire offense when facing the Browns.

And it is not like the interior of the line is a joke either. Larry Ogunjobi and Sheldon Richardson should both be back as well to form what could be the most unstoppable defensive front in football.
