1. Kenny Golladay best free agency fits – Indianapolis Colts

The best fit for Golladay is in Indianapolis, which combines a ready-made contender with oodles of salary cap space. The Colts figure to be linked to every top receiver available this spring and Golladay is no exception.

The need for a big playmaker in Indy was exacerbated in 2020 by the sudden decline of T.Y. Hilton, who looked like he lost at least a step in one of the worst years of his career. Hilton is set for free agency and appears unlikely to return to the Colts, who have a solid mix of young weapons like Parris Campbell and Michael Pittman Jr in the mix.

The Colts can definitely use a guy like Golladay to be the clear no. 1 receiver, allowing the younger guys to develop without the pressure of commanding all the attention for opposing defenses. The lack of quarterback in Indianapolis right now is a concern but the Colts will likely either trade for a new signal caller or draft one to take advantage of a roster that can win the AFC South right now.

The biggest card in Indianapolis’ favor is its salary cap space, which allows them to give a big contract to Golladay and set him up with a chance to win right now. The marriage between the Colts and Golladay appears perfect on paper but depends on which receiver that Indianapolis decides to prioritize on the open market.
