LeBron James has been a staple of the NBA’s ‘Big 3’ culture since he joined the Miami Heat in 2010, but he thinks this trio was better than the one the Nets have.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets are set to face each other in perhaps the most anticipated NBA game of the season on Thursday, Feb. 18.  Each team sits in second place in their respective conferences with the Lakers having won four more games and having lost five fewer. Both teams’ rosters have been revamped in an attempt to compete for this year’s championship.

The Lakers’ roster is much improved, adding the likes of Dennis Schroeder and Montrezl Harrell to bolster their rotation. The Nets obviously adding the trio of James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving to form one of the most prolific scoring offenses the league has ever seen. While LeBron James is no stranger to facing high-powered offenses in the playoffs, he still feels like the Nets wouldn’t be the toughest competition he’s seen.

LeBron James says Nets’ Big 3 isn’t the best he’s seen

There have been some pretty incredible ‘Big 3s’ in the NBA over the past 15 years. The Boston Celtics version with Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett inspired LeBron to take his talents to Miami to form his own. The Oklahoma City Thunder had Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook all on the same roster before their primes.

But who is the best ‘Big 3’ we’ve ever seen in the NBA?

LeBron told the media his top choice after their win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Though the Warriors are without Klay Thompson this season, we can’t forget how insane they were when he, Steph Curry, and KD were all on the same team. Curry is somehow still having an MVP-like season even with the Warriors struggling the way they have.

Should the Lakers and Nets make the Finals like most NBA fans are hoping, it should definitely prove to be one of the best matchups we’ve seen in a long time.
