54. Pick Analysis. Jordan Davis. 165. player. Georgia. Scouting Report. DT

The Eagles have an outstanding duo of starting defensive tackles with Fletcher Cox and Malik Jackson. They still could stand to use more depth to the interior of their defensive line.

Taking a swing on a massive player like Davis in Round 6 is a worthwhile gamble. He didn’t show a ton as a pass rusher at Georgia, but he’s really difficult to move in the ground game. At a minimum, he can help the Eagles’ run defense on short-yardage plays as a rookie. If he grows into a starter down the line this pick could turn into a steal.

54. Pick Analysis. OT. Oklahoma State. Teven Jenkins. Scouting Report. 198. player

Scouts are all over the board on where Jenkins might land in this year’s draft. Proponents of his game point out that he is ready to serve as a high-level pass blocker at the next level. Critics believe his lack of athleticism and mobility will limit him to a backup role in the NFL.

In the seventh round, either outcome will provide the Eagles with good value. His injury issues at Oklahoma State could push him into the undrafted free agent category, but Philadelphia could take a low-risk swing on him towards the end of the draft.
