The Brooklyn Nets star saw the trailer for the new “Mortal Kombat” movie, and he had some thoughts about it.

Ever since the coronavirus pandemic hit North America nearly a year ago, the way we watch films has drastically changed. Instead of going to the theaters, new films are released on demand from the comfort of our homes. Or, like HBO Max, new Warner Bros. movies are available to watch from home for free with a subscription.

One of the films to hit the streaming service is the adaptation for the popular fighting video game, Mortal Kombat. Of course, the trailer released on Thursday is highlighted by a battle between characters Sub-Zero and Scorpion. That leaves many wondering who will win in the movie?

If you ask Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, he believes the fight is too close to call. But he did give some heaping praise to Sub-Zero in subsequent tweets.

Durant no stranger to weighing in on film battles

While Durant does claim the fight could come down to the wire, you can tell that he is leaning toward picking Sub-Zero to pick up the win over Scorpion.

As it turns out, Durant is no stranger to sharing his predictions on epic fights on Twitter. Last month, the trailer for the Godzilla vs. Kong film was released, Durant let his 18.7 million Twitter followers know that he thinks there is no way possible that Godzilla takes the “L.”

The Mortal Kombat film will be released on April 16 in theaters and on HBO Max. Durant’s tweets proved that he will definitely be tuning in once it is available to watch.
