Scouting Report. 147. player. 58. Pick Analysis. Wide receiver. Michigan. Nico Collins

Doubling down on wideouts in the later rounds of this year’s draft is a good strategy for Washington. Collins is a 6-foot-4 wideout whose draft stock took a hit when he opted out of the 2020 season at Michigan. His 2019 tape shows him to be a prospect capable of growing into a high-quality starter in time.

Collins may not have track speed to utilize on the outside, but he does have the type of burst required to trouble corners who match-up against him in single coverage. Combine that with his ability to go up and get the ball in traffic and it’s easy to understand why Washington would like him in Round 5.

Pick Analysis. 209. player. Scouting Report. Offensive tackle. Ohio State. Thayer Munford. 58

Munford is the equivalent of a draft lottery ticket that can be secured in Round 7. He doesn’t have the fundamentals to impact an NFL team as a rookie. On the other hand, his above-average measurables and athleticism do give him an outside chance to grow into a starter after receiving quality coaching at the pro level.

58. Center. Michael Menet. player. Penn State. 211. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Menet is an average athlete who can grow into a quality backup for Washington over time. Scouts do appreciate his work ethic and technique on the interior. The possibility that he can kick out to guard adds to his versatility for Washington.
