Notre Dame football: Potential landing spots for Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in 2021 NFL Draft
By Dante Pryor
The Dolphins could go defense with their second first-round pick
The Dolphins could use a serious upgrade at linebacker this offseason. If Miami does not want to pay or overpay, for a linebacker in free agency, the draft is a good place to look. The only possible way Owusu-Koramoah does not land in Miami is if he is not on the draft board. Elandon Roberts is a free agent and Owusu-Koramoah is an upgrade at linebacker.
Where the Dolphins’ choice could get interesting could be if Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins is still on the board. Collins and Owusu-Koramoah are similar players, but Owusu-Koramoah has superior cover skills between the two. Collins’ on the board at number 18 makes for an interesting choice for the Dolphins.
Owusu-Koramoah would be an excellent fit on a team looking to build its roster
When you have the first pick in the NFL Draft means one thing; you need lots of help on your roster. The Jags are no different. After likely taking Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick in this draft, look for Jacksonville to go defense. The problem with Owusu-Koramoah at No. 25 is simple; he might be gone this late in the first round.
If Owusu-Koramoah is available, Jacksonville should not overthink this. There could be some question as to what position he’ll play at the next level, but Owusu-Koramoah is a player you just use his elite athletic skills. Owusu-Koramoah is the type of player you build a scheme for or at least figure out a role in your scheme.
At 25, Jacksonville can take the best player available. If Owusu-Koramoah is available, he’s the best player available.
