Not just the premier tight end available in free agency, Hunter Henry is among the best players set to hit the open market.

Henry, 26, has proven he can be a productive tight end and has every tool in his skill-set to be a dominant pass-catcher as well as an efficient blocker during his four seasons as a focal point in the Chargers’ passing attack.

Last season, Henry caught a career-high 60 passes for 613 yards and four touchdowns, as Pro Football Focus gave him a 69.3 overall grade.

The Chargers enter free agency flush with cap space, boasting $23.8 million in spending flexibility, ninth most in the NFL, and will likely try to retain Henry. But, if Henry becomes available, he should see a strong market as teams look for a versatile weapon at tight end who can create mismatches over the middle as well as hold his own as a blocker.
