Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. AFC West . . Los Angeles Chargers . 4. player. 13

When looking back at Justin Herbert’s rookie season, it was amazing he played as well as the critics made him out to be. The franchise out west has their future quarterback after 14 starting seasons of Philip Rivers.

Too bad Herbert’s offensive line is atrocious to help him truly win. Pro Football Focus ranked them as the worst overall unit of the 2020 season. It would make sense since they ranked in the bottom five of most pressures allowed last season.

Williams would pair well with names such as Bryan Bulaga at right tackle and Trai Turner at right guard. This would allow Los Angeles to focus on fixing the interior of the offensive line or add another defensive lineman to replace Melvin Ingram. Much like Cincinnati, Herbert’s production could only improve with a quality run game added into the mix.

Los Angeles will have roughly $21 million in cap space to work with this offseason. Williams might be the only name they could afford to add, but it’s a name they’ll need if Herbert is expected to take Los Angeles to the playoffs next year.
