Round 5

160. OT. Iowa. Alaric Jackson. player. 48. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

It might not make sense to some to take another tackle here, but the Bucs love depth and most teams need it on the offensive line. Alaric Jackson has a lot of skills that could develop into an NFL starter in the future. He looked really good during the Senior Bowl. Jackson was able to drive players back and held his own against some of the better pass rushers. The worst-case scenario is Jackson pushes to be starter when Wirfs and Brown are holding on to positions and they need to trade him for something better than a fifth-round pick.

Round 7

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 216. WR. Tennessee. Josh Palmer. player. 48

The Bucs are still stacked at wide receiver as long as they bring one of Godwin or Brown back. They still have Mike Evans to build off of, Scotty Miller looked really good making big plays, and Tyler Johnson was called upon to catch balls on big third downs. Brady knows what he likes, and this wide receiver room doesn’t need more than it has. GM Jason Licht will probably take a wide receiver in the later rounds, and Josh Palmer is an intriguing name. He had a weird journey to the NFL, and he probably would have seen his stock go up if he went back to school. He has a knack for breakout performances, like his two-touchdown game against Georgia. This might be the steal of the draft for the Bucs (unless Newman works out like they hope).

Pick Analysis. Ta’Quon Graham. 224. 48. Scouting Report. DT. Texas. player

The Bucs could literally go anywhere with this pick because it’s just what’s left before the final compensatory picks. One player they could like is the man who was manning the middle of the Texas Longhorn’s defensive line. Ta’Quon Graham is a former four-star recruit who moved from defensive end to tackle thanks to his size. He has a good motor, but he needs a lot of work. This is something Arians and Bowles are willing to put in for someone who could be a starter down the line.
