Scouting Report. New England Patriots. 2. player. Pick Analysis. RB . James White . 47

Again, Godwin could be on a different roster next season. Another name that could is Leonard Fournette. And sure, losing Playoff Lenny isn’t that massive of a deal, but losing both is huge.

Why? They’re two pass-catchers who do a great job working the short routes and turning it up field. Tampa Bay would need to find a cheap, yet productive option to somehow replace both player’s overall role for next season.

The lazy narrative is James White would like to team up with Brady. The smart one is that he’s a great fit for Byron Leftwhich’s system.  For his career, White has four seasons of 50-plus receptions. He also has a career 25 receiving touchdowns since being drafted out of Wisconsin.

White offers value as both a third-down runner and a receiver. With the NFL turning into a more pass-happy league, this is a perfect addition to work with Ronald Jones out of the backfield.
