. . Seattle Seahawks. 3. team. 36.

There is suddenly much uncertainty surrounding Russell Wilson’s future with the Seattle Seahawks, and even if the MVP caliber quarterback returns to the Emerald City, the strife and dysfunction has the potential to linger over this season.

The root of Russell’s criticism of the organization is its inability to build a consistent and reliable offensive line in front of him, after he withstood 47 sacks last season and faced pressure on 27.2 percent of his snaps.

Seattle’s dynamic receiving duo of Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf are going to give this offense plenty of explosiveness in the vertical passing game, but if running back Chris Carson walks as an unrestricted free agent, even more pressure is going to fall on Wilson’s shoulders.

The Seahawks allowed 333 yards of total offense to the Rams in a home loss in the NFC Wild Card round back in January, as Wilson was sacked five times amid a barrage of pressure. Perhaps a harbinger of things to come for this franchise.

In a division that features Aaron Donald, Nick Bosa, Solomon Thomas, Chandler Jones, and now J.J. Watt, the Seahawks must dramatically improve their offensive line this offseason, or this could be a precipitous fall for the reigning division champions.
