Patrick Surtain II. 10. player. 123. . Cornerback. Dallas Cowboys

If Patrick Surtain II is leapfrogged by Caleb Farley and is not the first cornerback off the board then he does not have to wait long to be selected. In this mock draft, Surtain is selected right after Farley, closing out the first ten picks by being selected by the Dallas Cowboys, and instantly improving their secondary.

Surtain is widely considered the most NFL-ready defensive back in this draft class, and the Cowboys certainly need someone who can come in and start right away. He comes from NFL stock, has an incredibly high football IQ, and should not be overwhelmed by the bright lights that come from playing inside Jerry’s World.

player. 31. . Wide Receiver. New York Giants. Jaylen Waddle. 11

With the No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the New York Giants turn their attention to the offensive side of the ball. It remains to be seen whether or not Daniel Jones is the long-term answer at quarterback, but if they are really going to allow him to prove it, then adding a wide receiver here would be smart.

Jaylen Waddle is one of the more exciting prospects in this draft class, and someone who could go a lot higher than No. 11 overall this April. However, if he is still available, he would jump right to the top of the depth chart in New York, and with Saquon Barkley returning, Jones has a full complement of weapons to work with.

. Offensive Lineman. San Francisco 49ers. Alijah Vera-Tucker. 12. player. 42

The San Francisco 49ers are a team that could go several different ways this offseason, as it is still not clear whether or not Jimmy Garoppolo is their answer at quarterback. However, as we inch closer to the 2021 NFL Draft, and he is still their No. 1 guy, you have to believe the plan is to build around him this April.

At pick No. 12 overall, the 49ers could add a cornerback like Jaycee Horn, but instead, they bolster the interior of their offensive line. John Lynch has not shied away from drafting offensive linemen in round one, and with this pick, Alijah Vera-Tucker significantly improves the group in from of Jimmy G, which is definitely needed this offseason.
