Was For Love of the Game filmed in New York City?

This tale is set mostly in the historic Yankee Stadium. The movie is about a 40-year-old Detroit Tigers pitcher, Billy Chapel (Kevin Costner) who throws a perfect game against the Yankees. It may not have gotten much love from film critics, but it still provides the audience with an entertaining, caring, and loving experience—at least for sports fans.

It’s sort of a love and sports story tied in together. The film does have other settings like the highway that leads to the George Washington Bridge, where Billy and Jane (Kelly Preston) first meet. The park where Billy and Jane have their walk and talk is, you guessed it, Central Park.

Maybe it gets a little more love from baseball fans around. It does have the original (even though it was renovated) Yankee Stadium, which was torn down after the new Yankee Stadium opened up in 2009. Maybe over time people will appreciate the movie more.
